Here are some brief details about Harnser & a few of his recommended links.

Growing up in Norfolk, England, I was always fascinated by the skill and patience of the Herons on the Norfolk Broads. Often I sat quietly beside them as they fished. They have left me with the lasting impression that photography, especially nature photography, demands both patience and skill. They slowly stalk their prey & are ready at any moment to respond with dazzling speed & accuracy. To me this what I aspire to as a photographer. I prefer to shoot in natural environs with natural light, limited use of flash, captive wildlife or even hides. My aim is to connect, if possible, eye to eye with my subjects, while respecting their space and habitat. The aim is at all times to be an ethical & responsible photographer.

I am located in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with access to a rich biodiversity. This permits me to work on a regular basis with a number of different but always rewarding locations.

Although I focus on wildlife & nature, my assignments are varied and have included architectural work in California, art & fashion in New York, along with various specific private commissions.

My equipment includes Nikon D2x camera, Nikkor ED. Tamron and Sigma lenses.
